Butte College Names New Vice President for Administrative Services

Butte College has announced Jessica Snelling as its new vice president for administrative services following Vice President Suleski's retirement in April. The Butte College Board of Trustees officially confirmed her appointment during its May 15 board meeting. She will begin on June 1, 2024.

Snelling has demonstrated a remarkable commitment to fiscal stewardship and strategic planning in her current position as director of finance and business analysis at Enloe Health. She brings to Butte College a wealth of experience in financial and operational leadership.

Throughout her tenure at Enloe Health, Snelling has helped guide the hospital's financial trajectory. She had oversight of annual operating and capital budgets, financial planning and analysis, expense management, and payroll administration. Additionally, she played a pivotal role in establishing key performance metrics and implementing financial reporting mechanisms, fostering increased productivity and cost efficiency across the organization.

For Snelling, this new role is somewhat of a homecoming. She began her educational journey at Butte College in 1998 before transferring to California State University, Chico, to complete her bachelor's in business administration. She earned her Master of Business Administration from the University of Massachusetts, Lowell, in 2017.

"We are delighted to welcome Jessica to Butte College's executive team," said Butte College Superintendent/President Virginia Guleff. "We are excited about the experience she brings to the team."

In this role, Snelling will oversee the college's finances, business services, auxiliary services, facilities planning and management and information technology departments along with the CCC Tech Center.

"I am beyond thrilled and so very honored to join Butte College as the next vice president of administrative services," said Snelling. "As I assume this new role, I am committed to continuing the strong fiscal management and financial planning to ensure we have adequate financial resources to achieve the initiatives and objectives under the strategic plan, further supporting our long-term fiscal health."
